Safe Zone App — Copyright Notice

1. Copyright Ownership

All content, source code, designs, graphics, user interface elements, animations, sounds, and other materials comprising the Safe Zone mobile application ("the App") are the exclusive property of Nihon Securite (t/a Gondo Securite) and are protected by copyright laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe and international copyright treaties.

2. Trademarks

The following are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Gondo Securite:

  • "Safe Zone" — application name and brand
  • "Gondo Securite" — company name and brand
  • "Nihon Securite" — parent entity name
  • The Gondo Securite logo and all associated logos, icons, and graphical marks

You may not use, reproduce, or display these trademarks without the prior written consent of Gondo Securite. All other trademarks, service marks, product names, and company names or logos appearing in the App are the property of their respective owners.

3. Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Safe Zone App on a personal mobile device for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice displayed in the App.
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without a separate written agreement from Gondo Securite.
  • Attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Transfer or sublicense your rights under this licence to any third party.

4. Third-Party Software and Licences

The Safe Zone App incorporates third-party software and libraries that are subject to their own licences. We acknowledge and comply with the following open source and third-party licences:

4.1 Firebase (Google LLC)

The App uses Google Firebase for backend services including authentication, cloud messaging, analytics, and crash reporting.

4.2 Cloud Firestore

Cloud Firestore is used for real-time database functionality within the App.

4.3 Firebase Cloud Messaging

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) is used to deliver push notifications and real-time alerts to users.

4.4 Flutter / Dart Framework

The App is built using the Flutter framework and Dart programming language.

4.5 Google Maps SDK

Google Maps SDK is used for location services, map display, and geocoding within the App.

4.6 Additional Dependencies

The App may include the following open source libraries. Complete licence texts are included in the App's licence documentation available in the App settings under "Open Source Licences":

4.7 Fonts and Icons

  • Material Icons — Google Fonts Licence (Apache License 2.0) — Copyright Google LLC
  • Custom typefaces — Licensed under the SIL Open Font Licence where applicable

5. App Store Content

All content displayed on the App Store and Google Play Store listing for Safe Zone — including descriptions, screenshots, promotional graphics, and preview videos — is the property of Gondo Securite and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Reproduction or redistribution of store listing materials without written consent is prohibited.

6. User-Generated Content

Any content you submit through the Safe Zone App — including incident reports, messages, photos, and feedback — remains your intellectual property. However, by submitting content through the App, you grant Gondo Securite a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App's security services.

7. Copyright Infringement Claims

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used within the Safe Zone App in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please notify us in writing with the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  • A description of where the infringing material is located within the App.
  • Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

8. Duration of Copyright

Copyright protection for original works in the Safe Zone App extends for the period provided under the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act [Chapter 26:05] of Zimbabwe, which is generally the lifetime of the author plus 50 years for literary and artistic works.

9. Changes to This Notice

Gondo Securite reserves the right to update this Copyright Notice at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified through the App or on our website.
